This investigation examines standards of care in the High
Dependency Unit of Ticehurst Psychiatric Hospital – a private
institution owned and run the Priory Group. The programme
follows up on the case of Amy El Keria, a fourteen year old girl
who strangled herself on the Unit in 2012. The Health and
Safety Commission have since prosecuted the Priory Group, who
pleaded guilty and were fined £300,000.

The film tells the story of Amy’s mother’s pursuit of the truth
about what happened to her daughter, alongside undercover
footage filmed inside the unit. This was obtained by an
undercover reporter, Grainne Morrison, working as a health
care assistant. In the course of her filming, the reporter
gathered evidence of a range of continuing poor practice and
neglect.
