Investigating privately owned children’s homes, two undercover reporters got jobs at homes in Shropshire working for two of the largest private care providers – Cambian, and Keys, which between them run around 250 homes for ‘looked-after’ children.
The year long investigation reveals short staffing and poor training, vulnerable children goaded by their ‘carers’, and staff giving underage teenagers money to buy tobacco.
